A vintage Bhutanese (Dzongkha: དཀྱི་ར་, དཀྱིས་རས) - traditional women’s dress woven by hand. It consists of three hand woven panels just over 1.8m/ 6ft each that are sewn together. It comprises of a central woven panel flanked by two identical side panels.
Kira are always rectangular and are made from three handwoven panels joined in the warp direction. Each end is finished with a neat fringe made by twisting several warp ends together and tying a knot. Kira are wrapped around the body with the design oriented horizontally and fastened with a brooch on the left shoulder.  This has been made with really joyful coloured embroidery.
