Anatolian hand woven wool kilim tufted with Angora.

Susan Deliss loves these crazy kilims that originate from one particular region in Turkey, with their very distinctive tufted style.  The technique used for making them is very similar to gabbeh rugs in Iran and Beni Ourain rugs in Morrocco.  This thick, shaggy pile is to protect against the winter bitter cold in the mountains.
