Hanging hand painted ceramic bauble suspended by hand woven wool braid with beaded tassels.  It can be hung on a hook on the wall or from the ceiling. It would look super hanging on a Christmas tree - you can always cut the wool braid to make it easier to tie them.

Susan Deliss doesn't know what the purpose for these baubles was, except for adding a bit of random colour and decoration. Susan Deliss hangs them from hooks on the walls and from ceilings.
